Long-Tailed Tits are becoming more common over winter. Reports say it's because they have learned to use the bird feeders. I know they love scones.

Watching Birds is one thing... photographing them is quite another skill altogether. I thought it an interesting challenge to photograph birds in just two locations.....in or from my garden or around the shores of Poole Harbour.. and see just how many species can be photographed successfully in interesting poses or situations.
These photo have been reduced in size and quality for the web. Most pictures are as shot, some Aperture and Photoshop tweaks are made with some images, but not a lot. Available as 300dpi jpeg/.psd/.tiff files.
I use Nikon D90 and D300s cameras, Nikkor lenses..... Patience, anticipation, experience and a bit of luck......

I definately get a lot of pleasure capturing birds in flight. Only a stills camera can freeze a moment in time that the eye cannot see.
